Content Editing:

    I provide detailed content editing, with reports on the structure of individual chapters as well as the manuscript as a whole. The author and I discuss his or her goals, where he or she wants to go with their book, and how well those goals are achieved. Line editing sufficient to bring the manuscript to a publishable standard is also done. Manuscripts are normally accepted by email. The cost is $40 an hour.

    I only take on projects as time and interest allow.

Classes, Workshops, and Seminars:

     I give seminars and workshops at request. Seminars topics include getting agented, getting published, maintaining suspension of disbelief, and other elements of business and craft.

     I currently run the Hazard Center Writer's workshop, every 2nd and 4th Thursday, at 7:00pm in the Hazard Center Barns & Nobel in San Diego CA. The workshop is free, and anyone may attend.
